These prestigious awards are given to recognize businesses and organizations in the Pikes Peak Region that demonstrate and promote diversity and inclusion in both their internal operations and external civic engagement. Standards of excellence will include highly inclusive organizational policies and benefits, as well as commitment to diversity training, education, and volunteerism on all levels of operation.
- Deadline extended to October 10, 2014
UPDATE DATE: Tuesday, November 18, 2014, 4:00 to 6:00 pm
LOCATION: Library 21c, 1175 Chapel Hills Dr.
D&I Awards are awarded to non-profit and for-profit businesses, government agencies (local, state, and federal to include military), and organizations in the Pikes Peak region that demonstrate and promote Diversity and Inclusion (D&I). Organizations will be recognized based on where they fall within the continuum of D&I initiatives and best practices. We will only give awards to nominees that meet the qualifications and fall within the range determined worthy of this esteemed recognition. Feedback will be provided to all nominees who do not win an award.
The levels of awards are:
- Daring to Dream – organizations beginning D&I practices/processes
- Steady and Strong – organizations expanding on initial D&I efforts
- Raising the Bar – organizations where D&I practices span the organization and beyond
Small, medium, and large organizations across the above categories are encouraged to apply. Awards are not based on the size, capital resources or revenues of the organization. Rather, we consider what the organization is doing with the resources available at its disposal. This will in turn determine an organization’s status on the D&I continuum, qualifying and placing the organization at one of the three levels of recognition.
